Your 2-Step Guide for Overcoming Fear
SUPPORTED BY SQUARESPACEHey Reader, Have you ever felt like you know exactly what to do, but are scared to actually do it? Even when something's good for you, change is scary. The trick for overcoming that fear and doing the thing you want is this: You can either make the thing less scary OR make the scary matter less. Make it less scaryThis is possible by priming our brain, and there's only two ways I know how to do that:
Make the scary matter lessThis is when it's scarier not to do the thing. Here's how I approach it:
We all have different tendencies for what works with us, but if you’re feeling brave, do hit reply and tell me what’s freaking you out these days. Maybe I can help make it less scary. BEHIND THE BUSINESSCreating a Hybrid App for Advisement ClientsOne thing I'm excited about coming at the end of this month is a digitized version of the Strategic Path. The Strategic Path is a game board I made that I haven't formally publicized, but instead use as a natural guiding path for my advisement clients. The goal is to get you from No Client to New Client in 11 Steps, and in my 12 years of business, it's worked really well. The hard part is there's nuance to each step, but I think that nuance can be clarified with specific actions, discussions, and exercises––all of which I've built into the app. I'm not totally sure if it's going to work, but to give it the best chance, I'm thinking of creating a Hybrid model: The App + Live Office Hours. Because no matter how powerful AI, there are few things more powerful than someone looking you in the eye to analyze the fear, sparks, and everything in-between. I've spoken to some of you about this already, but if you want to be notified when it's ready, click here. It will automatically add you to the launch list.
